The Saxon Woods Garage Sale is seeking families who are looking to sell items that are no longer of use to them for its annual event taking place, Saturday, Sept. 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Saxon Woods Park in White Plains. Registration is open.

This sale is for individuals and families who want to sell their unwanted items, such as clothing, household items, electronics, furniture, toys, books and sporting goods. No professional antiques or collectible dealers are allowed. Spaces are limited and are available on a first come, first-served basis.

The fee is $60 for a 100-square foot space and is nonrefundable. Sellers must provide their own tables, chairs, canopies and anything else necessary for display; no electrical hook-ups are available. Gates open and set-up begins at 6:30 a.m.; booths must remain open until 3 p.m. A $20 cash refundable deposit will be required at check-in that day; it will be returned at the end of the day, pending inspection of the site by park staff.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said, “The highly anticipated annual Saxon Woods Garage Sale is a staple in Westchester County that allows residents to purge items that are no longer of use, while also allowing for those who love to second-hand shop, to do so with the beautiful Saxon Woods Park as the backdrop.”

Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said, “The staff at Saxon Woods has done a tremendous job every year building excitement and a following for this event that benefits residents.”

Admission and parking for shoppers at the Saxon Woods Garage Sale are free. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 24.

Saxon Woods Park is located at 1800 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains. For more information and to register, call (914) 995-4480.
